Summer Bootcamp: A Transformative 4-Week Piano Program
The summer bootcamp is an engaging and intensive 4-week program designed specifically for students who are eager to enhance their piano skills. During this enriching experience, we offer students an opportunity to participate in free piano lessons that focus on developing basic foundation to music and piano playing . This program is not just about learning notes and rhythms; it is about cultivating a mindset of confidence and creativity at the piano. The only cost to participate is the $50 registration fee that includes a SuperHands Music School book that will be shipped to the student prior to the program start date. Once the a book has been sent and/or the program has begun, the $50 registration fee is strictly non-refundable.
General Objectives:
1. Discover the Joy of Music
Students will experience music as something fun, expressive, and creative—not just something to practice.
2. Build a Strong Foundation
Students will gain essential beginner piano skills: proper hand position, rhythm, finger numbers, and basic reading of music.
3. Develop Listening and Creativity
Through games and improvisation, students will train their ears, experiment with sounds, and begin to express themselves musically.
4. Play with Confidence
By the end of the camp, each student will be able to perform at least one simple piece with pride, showcasing progress in front of others.
5. Learn the Language of Music
Students will become familiar with the keyboard layout, musical symbols, simple chords, and melodies—giving them tools to continue learning.
6. Explore and Be Curious
Students will be encouraged to ask questions, try new things, and explore their musical interests beyond just “right notes.”
7. Feel the Magic of Progress
Students will recognize how much they can learn in just a few weeks, inspiring them to keep playing and growing beyond the camp.
8. Take Music Home
Each student will leave the boot camp with new skills, fond memories, and the motivation to continue learning piano for life.
